Main Responsibilities:

Skills & Experience:
- Proven senior HR experience, either at Director or Head of level
- Must have a degree and be CIPD qualified or equivalent
- A strong "people person" with a natural ability to lead teams and nurture and build relationships
- Credible and able to "connect" with and influence SME sector Business Owners
- Ability to provide strategic options by understanding client HR needs and proposing appropriate solutions
- Energetic, motivated, able to makes things happen
- Organised and dependable
- Entrepreneurial non-corporate individual seeking the freedom to work autonomously

Structural Engineer: A Structural Engineer is required to provide support to ensure the successful delivery of specialist building projects in central London up to £2.5 million in value.

Reporting to the Chief QS and the Managing Director, the Structural Engineer will join Richardsons (Nyewood) Limited, established 1965, a highly respected construction company whose ethos embodies the 'large enough to cope, small enough to care' philosophy. All staff are employed by the company. The company has clients across the South and this is a new position to oversee the London projects.

Richardsons offers a range of construction services from 'one-stop' design and build, to management contracting and high end specialist trades. Their experience extends from new build 'high end' residential, to refurbishment and alteration to Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed buildings, within the commercial, ecclesiastical, educational and healthcare related sectors.


Day to day management of 2-3 projects
Manage own and team workload (50 staff) to ensure deadlines are met
Liaise with suppliers, ensure supplier deliverables are managed effectively
Proactive. Ensure all projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively and efficiently within budget
Establish and maintain key relationships with customers, suppliers and internally
Ensure the customer is updated in a timely manner regarding plans, progress and issues
A strong proactive communicator
Provide comprehensive weekly progress updates for the portfolio/projects
Ensure the commercial and contractual elements of each project are understood and works are planned and delivered accordingly
Structural design 'in project' to the value of £250k
Work across the projects to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and appropriate for the customer
Attend site meetings & undertake site inspections when required
Ensure Health & Safety compliance
