Assistant Compliance Officer/In House Legal Counsel
Our client is a successful multinational company recruiting for a new role within the business for an Assistant Compliance Officer/In House Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will be a Law Graduate. The role will report in to the Chief Finance Officer.
Main responsibilities of the Assistant Compliance Officer / In House Legal Counsel
To assist the business in the following areas as well as responding to internal queries and assisting with training when required:
New client on-boarding process including KYC checks
Existing client on-going monitoring procedures and controls
Administrative tasks including record-keeping, document management and procedures updates
Assisting Accounts Team with client due diligence queries
Claims handling including monitoring deadlines and disclosure requirements
Monitoring and ensuring return of client Engagement Letters and Terms of Business
Financial administration including allocating commission receipts and liaising with the Accounts Team
Internal reporting requirements including monthly and annual financial reporting
Review of contractual documents – including standard Terms and Conditions (Supplier/Customer) to identify any commercial issues and suggest revisions to reduce risk and strengthen the Companies position
Assisting with ad hoc company legal matters – Boards of Resolution, Statutory filings.
Requirements for the Assistant Compliance Officer / In House Legal Counsel role
To be considered, candidates must have:
Relevant Law degree
Work experience (isn’t essential but a flexible approach to work undertaken is)
The successful candidate will be pragmatic, proactive and able to work within a geographically dispersed team
Full support to transition into a business facing role will be provided.
